Organic Red Bean of Lucca – SlowFood Presidium – Az Ag Favilla
Grown in the land of Picciorana (Lu), the Rosso is, like all my beans, harvested by hand, selected and passed through the cold room to be sanitized against the weevils.
The Red Bean is characterized by its dark color, thick, hard skin, and aromatic flavor. It is, in fact, an excellent base for broths, an essential element for the “Spelt Soup” and is also very appetizing even cooked in the oven.
